MOUTHPIECES are portraits influenced from Asia, pictures of women in protection-masks used in Vietnam. The masks are made in cotton fabrics and are generally used as protection against fumes in traffic or as protection against viruses and other  infections. The photosessions are made in Sweden and France during 2007 and 2008. Vegetation and shadows form patterns reminiscent of camouflage. The portraits form an army of female nature-warriors. Analogue photography, digitally processed and printed. 30 portraits 50×50 cm. Camera: Hasselblad, 50 mm lens, film: Kodak EPS colour negative, developed: Crimson Stockholm, printing: Sven Westerlund / Projector.
